Think About Installing Ductless Systems At Your House

Trying to find the right heating solution for your house can be difficult, especially if you are trying to retrofit something into place. One thing you might not have thought of is using a ductless heating system.
Ductless Systems
These are also called mini-split heating systems. Instead of having a furnace that is attached to your house that blows air though ducts or a boiler which pushes hot water through a radiator, these systems are installed through an exterior wall. The outside of the unit is attached to a heating system on the outside of the house. They usually work with heat pumps. There are a lot of good reasons why you might want to go with a ductless heating system for your house.
Zones
One reason to go with this heating system that you can set up particular heating and cooling zones in your house. Each of the units can be set to a specific temperature, and they will keep the area that they are in at the temperature that you are looking for. For example, if you have one unit in your front room and another in your bedroom, you can set it so that your front room is set at 72° and your bedroom is set at 65°. Because each unit is complete unto itself, you can also set a schedule up so that they are turned on at different times, depending on when the room is being occupied.
Heating and Cooling
Another reason to go with ductless systems is that you can use them for both heating and cooling your house. That saves you from having to have separate air conditioning units, which could be cumbersome and expensive when you are trying to run them all. More than one window air conditioner in your house could also cause your various circuits to blow, which kind of defeats the purpose if you can't run the air conditioners to stay nice and cool. The mini-split units generally won't have that problem, and will be able to keep your house nice and cool during the hot summer.
